Daisy took her first degree, in Design for Manufacture in Ceramics, at Leicester Polytechnic, training in model and mould making and the more industrial aspects of ceramic production in 1986-89. Winner of a Royal Society of Arts bursary Award in her second year allowed her to travel to America on a scholarship and also gain valuable experience within the design department of Denby Pottery.

Post degree Daisy worked as Artist in Residence for Leicester City Council Arts Development, teaching ceramics citywide and developing more decorative handmade work. Later taking a Master’s degree in ceramics at Cardiff and taught in St Albans before becoming a course leader (senior lecturer) in ceramics at De Montfort University from 1998 – 2011 before leaving education to finally pursue her own business making ceramics.

Her own practice involves print making, photography and ceramics.
