New work underway for Burton Overy Death Watch beetle fund. Our beautiful village church has an infestation of death watch beetles. The cost to repair is over 100,000, some 20k in donations from villagers has got the ball rolling. A grant has been aquired to help but we still need to raise around 40k. Village meeting to discuss ideas and a scarecrow festival at the end of June as well as other events are planned.
I am busy designing a range of ceramics for this fund, so all profits will be donated. Children on the village camp in August will help in the production of work. Will post pictures of the developing work.
A few hours spent over the weekend making for fairs and now a productive week, hopefully.
An old litho image, first attempt at using a litho stone plate in the early 90’s.
Heres another vintage range, made in 1989 whilst at Leicester Polytechnic.
